They love to travel, to experience new cultures, and to soak up all this beautiful life has to offer. Life-long romantics, they are forever grateful that the universe brought them together and they whole-heartedly believe that the love they share is something deep, treasured, and worthy of celebrating to the nines.

Stephanie Wood is an award-winning wedding photographer with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University, serving primarily Chicago and New York City. In what she describes as a “soul calling,” she left her full-ride Neuroscience PhD program at the University of Illinois to pursue her passion for photography. She is a mother of three and a self-described introverted people-person.
Stephanie’s artistic style is a blend of romantic fashion-inspired editorial photography and photojournalism. She delivers true-to-life color and iconic black and white images with the philosophy of timeless over trendy. Her artistic inspiration comes from photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Richard Avedon, Annie Leibovitz, and Greg Williams.
Her clients describe Stephanie as a true artist with a warm and friendly personality, a calming presence, and occasionally their part-time therapist. She strives to not only provide beautiful imagery that will withstand the test of time but she also prioritizes her couples’ experience, encouraging each couple to live their wedding day fully in the present moment while trusting her vision and skill as both artistic director and keen observer of moments to preserve their wedding day through her photographs.
